16 - Montgó - GPS: 42.107934, 3.168876
Fine sand cove protected from the tramontana. Located in the southernmost part of l'Escala. To explain its rounded shape, we advance the hypothesis that this space could have been an old buried hill, which would have grown under the action of the sea. Many tourist establishments and other services such as adapted toilets are located on the seafront promenade by the beach. At the gates of the Natural Park of Montgrí, the Medes and the Baix Ter, this cove invites you to walk the coast of the punta Ventosa or climb to the Montgó torre, used in the past to prevent pirate attacks. Parking area near the beach.
